The best way to really get to know a culture is to get to know its people: learn their language and become one of them! While you are discovering beautiful, new places you can use the opportunity to practice what you learn.
This is our main course. It offers you a high degree of flexibility: if you Take a Spanish course, you can do as many weeks as you want and start at any point in the year, whatever your level.
- Timetable: Monday to Friday usually from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm (including a 20 minute break).
- 20 h/week (1h = 55′).
- Any number of weeks.
- Start any Monday (every second Monday if you are a beginner).
- Minimum age 18.
- Max 8 students per class (average 4-5).
If you want to go at your own pace, learn just what you need, and decide for yourself how intensive you want your programme to be, one-to-one classes are the best option.
You can also combine private tuition with a group course.
Spanish for families
The whole family can take part in the afternoon and evening cultural activities we offer within the framework of our social programme. We also organise tours that are open to all family members (an extra fee applies for these tours).
The number of hours contracted for the care of children must be sufficient to cover the time adults spend in class so that children are not left unattended at any time
Online Spanish courses
To get ready before coming to Mexico or continue your studies after returning home, we recommend one of our online courses. Each Net Languages course consists of around 120 hours of interactive study materials and can also include individual written and spoken
tutorials with a qualified language instructor.

Dele preparation course
Our DELE course consists of an intensive Spanish course (20 hours per week) plus 10 hours per week of private preparation (1: 1 or 2: 1) DELE.
The intensive course gives you the opportunity to develop your general level of proficiency and the DELE preparation course will provide you with the necessary skills to ensure a successful test result.
About the DELE exam
The Instituto Cervantes is the Spanish equivalent of the British Council or the Goethe Institute. It organizes Spanish exams known as the “Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera” (or DELE).
They are offered at six levels: A1 (Basic), A2 (Platform), B1 (Intermediate), B2 (Advanced), C1 (Effective operational proficiency) and C2 (Master’s degree) which correspond to the Common European Framework of Reference of the Council of Europe for Languages (CEFR).
The exams include components of reading comprehension, listening comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary and speaking. All parts of the exam are taken on the same day.

NOTE You can take a DELE preparation course at any time of the year, but the DELE exams themselves are only available on certain dates. Contact us for more details.
IH Riviera Maya is a DELE exam center, which means that students can take the exam at our school.
