Our Spanish school in Oaxaca offers students a warm, welcoming learning environment in the heart of the city. Our colorful classrooms are situated around a sunny central patio that’s perfect for relaxing and chatting with other international students between classes.

Our school is located a few blocks from the most tourist places in the state such as: The Santo Domingo de Guzmán church, the Ethnobotanical Garden, the Xochimilco neighborhood among others, you can also find a variety of cafes, restaurants, museums, parks and galleries of art.

Living with a Mexican family is without a doubt the best way to get to know what people are like. Living in Mexico and continuing to practice Spanish, it is therefore possible to book a family with breakfast only or with half board, which also includes dinner.
Families know how to take care of our students and make him feel at home. Mexicans are so hospitable that students are likely to be introduced to family and friends as well. International House rules are available in each room. And the family’s own rules are communicated to the student upon arrival.
There is always bottled water available for students, however, should consider that drinking can only be done indoors.
The food served to the students is prepared by our host family, who asks the students about their preferences and tastes and look for typical Mexican and regional Oaxacan food.
The student receives a copy of the key to the main entrance of the house and her room and can use all common areas inside the house: kitchen and refrigerator, living room and outdoor spaces. On the same street there are laundry services, mini-supermarket, pharmacy, doctors’ offices and small restaurants.

Get all the practice you need to take the highly prestigious and internationally recognised DELE exam, organised by the Instituto Cervantes. Note: Students can take a DELE preparation course at any time of the year, but the DELE exams themselves are only available on certain dates. Please note that IH Riviera Maya and IH Mexico City are DELE examination centres, which means that students can take the exam at our schools.
If you want to go at your own pace, learn what you need to learn and decide for yourself how intensive you want your programme to be, individual lessons are the best option. You can also combine private tuition with a group course.
